How will I be assessed?
Each unit is assessed by a formal portfolio of written reports, documented practical work and two exams.

Where could this course lead to?
Learners progress on to a Level 3 Engineering course, and apprenticeship or in to employment. Typical job roles include Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Materials Fabricator, Processing or Finishing Engineer, Technical Support Engineer and more!

What qualifications or experience do I need?
4 GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above including English and Maths, or a relevant qualification at Level 1 with Merit grade. Learners with lower grades or relevant experience will be considered subject to an additional assessment and/or supporting reference from their school or employer. If you miss the English and/or Maths requirements of your course, don't worry - there are options to study these alongside your course.
