Animal Management and Equine Facilities

The Animal Management Centre has a reputation for having some of the best animal care training facilities in the region. Its specialist, purpose-built animal care unit houses a huge range of animals, including both domestic animals and exotics such as amphibians and reptiles.

Brooksby Equestrian Centre houses some truly fantastic facilities, including an indoor riding arena and outdoor floodlit arena with British Show Jumping approved jumps. Additionally, students benefit from access to our state-of-the-art Equine Rehabilitation Centre with Activo-Med water treadmill, Maxuss Solarium and more.

Sports Facilities

For those students of a sporting nature, Brooksby is also home to our £3.6 million specialist sports complex, which features a strength and conditioning suite, performance analysis equipment, and a large sports hall that fits 4 badminton courts. Our floodlit 3G pitch can be used all year round, come rain or shine, and it has the added benefit of reducing the risk of injury to players AND being environmentally friendly! We also have three grass rugby pitches, which are used by our Leicester Tigers programme students.

Brooksby is home to our Physiology Lab, a dedicated facility to study the interaction of exercise and nutrition to improve human performance. Our on-site gym is not just for our sports students but open to all students on specific days and supported by the sports staff.
