Welcome to Ignite Performing Arts!

Our specialist Performing Arts site is situated in the town of Melton Mowbray alongside our very own commerical performance space, Melton Theatre! The facilities offer a real indsutry-style environment for Performing Arts students to hone their craft and really thrive. Notable alumni include Adrian Scarborough (Gavin & Stacey, The King's Speech, Miranda, and much more!), Owen Warner (Hollyoaks, I'm a Celeb) and Shaka McFarlane (The Voice, Six the Musical)! 

 

Location

Melton Mowbray is a vibrant market town in Leicestershire. The college site itself is located in the town centre, just a couple of minutes' walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants. It is also located next to the bus station and close to the local train station, so getting to and from campus is really easy. 

Melton is perfectly situated in the East Midlands, with excellent transport links to the cities of Leicester, Nottingham, and Birmingham. You can even get to London in just over an hour!

Melton has loads of live music, independent retailers, local produce and green spaces in abundance. If you're a foodie, it’s home of the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie, an amazing selection of restaurants, including fantastic veggie and vegan options, and is the Rural Food Capital of the UK! 

If shopping is your thing, the town offers a unique shopping experience with lots of independent retailers. In addition, Tuesday sees an array of markets, including the Melton Street Market, selling everything from clothing to fresh produce.
