SMB College Group is proud to announce an exciting new work experience partnership with Twycross Zoo!

This new partnership introduces immersive work experience opportunities for a select cohort of Level 3 Animal Management students. Designed to spark enthusiasm and hone practical skills, students will delve into the realms of zookeeping, husbandry, and conservation.

Richard Sands, Conservation Education Manager at Twycross Zoo, said “We are delighted to have joined up with SMB College Group to offer their Animal Management Level 3 students the opportunity to gain experience of working within the education team at Twycross Zoo.

We know how important it is for young people to get experiences that help them develop skills for the workplace. We have developed a bespoke training package that gives them the knowledge to help us in our vision to inspire people to care about the other species with which we share our planet.”

Animal Studies is taught at SMB College Group’s Brooksby Campus, a sprawling countryside estate set over 850 acres in the heart of Leicestershire. The college boasts a fantastic range of state-of-the-art facilities for Animal Studies students, with a huge range of animals and expert tutors with a range of specialisms.

Twycross Zoo stands as a beacon of hope and excellence, internationally recognized for its commitment to conservation, education, and research. Spanning 100 acres, the Zoo serves as a vital hub for safeguarding endangered species and inspiring stewardship among visitors.
