SMB College Group Equine Riding Sessions

We’re excited to announce we are offering Riding and Ground Schooling (lunging) sessions for new students!

We are offering Riding and Ground Schooling (lunging) sessions for new students which have accepted their place for the next academic year so you can start to get to know the staff, horses and other students. These are set to start on the 24th April 2025 and will be available on various dates up to 14th August 2025. Please click on the 'Register for this Event' button at the top of the page to select the date that best suits you. Upon arrival to the campus, please use the internal road and head up to the Equine Centre. 

Sessions will run at 2pm each day and participants should expect to be here for up to 1 and a half hours and take part in preparation of the horses and riding/groundschooling activities.

You will need correct Personal Protective Equipment to include gloves, riding hat (to the required standard) and riding boots, on arrival you will be asked to fill in a registration form.

All students can book up to 2 sessions before the summer and 2 in the summer. Numbers in sessions are limited and will be allocated on booking – please make sure you receive conformation of your place.

PLEASE NOTE: Ride sessions can only be booked by students who have passed a ride assessment
